Plans continued this week for a new hospital in Iola, with trustees accepting bids for earth and structural work that totaled about $1.7 million.
The Iola Register reports the board accepted bids from Burlington Construction, Burlington, for concrete work; Noble Construction, La Cygne, for earthwork; Coleman Materials, Wichita, for rebar material; Unique Metal Fab, Pittsburg, for steel materials; and Great Plains Drilling, Kansas City, Mo., for steel erection.
Health Facilities Group, of Wichita, is designing the facility and Murray Construction, of Overland Park, is overseeing construction.
