Product Description
Scratch & Dent Savings!!! Product codes ending in "-2" are Blemished. They are New and Unused with Superficial blemishes that may include, blisters in the finish, scratches, dents, stains, discoloration, rust or pitting on metals, imperfect glazes, non-structural repairs such as putty in nail holes, or other surface marks. The irregularity does not affect the playability or sound quality of the instrument. These are a good value.
This oud has the classic tear-drop shape. The bowl and neck stave construction is accented with alternating dark and light hard woods. The three round sound holes have decorative rosette inserts (rosette and pick guard designs vary) and are trimmed with faux mother of pearl inlay. The soundboard has a light finish. There are twelve strings in six courses of two each. The bridge is fixed. The nut to bridge measures approximately 23.25 inches. This is a beautiful instrument. Over all dimensions are approximately 32 x 14 x 8 inches. Includes case and pick.
Note: Whether you purchase an instrument on-line or from a physical store locally, it is recommended that you change the strings on your new instrument as soon as you receive it. The strings of an instrument both in a store or shipped to you are exposed to air and different environments prior to you receiving it. During this time the strings WILL oxidize, decreasing it's life expectancy and reducing the quality of it's sound. On occasion instruments may even arrive with a broken string, therefore, it is recommended that you purchase a replacement set of strings and consider changing your strings as soon as it arrives. Learning to change strings should be the first lesson learned when embarking on the journey of playing a new instrument.
