There are probably people who can't name one--let alone 41--of Alabama's country-western hits and, for them, it probably comes as a shock to find out that this band has actually taken that many songs to the top of the C&W charts. Those chart-toppers provide a loosely knit theme for this DVD, which offers an Alabama performance in Las Vegas in 1998. Boasting more than three hours of live Alabama music (more music, it would seem, than one could find in the entire state), this concert document reveals a band with little stage presence, limited musical range, and the ingratiating manner to put it across to a worshipful crowd. An alternate audio track features the band members reminiscing about each of the songs (how no one thought this one would be a hit or how everyone knew that one would be a blockbuster). The DVD also features scrolling lyrics (for the home-karaoke aficionado) as well as backstage footage and a music video for their 42nd No. 1 hit, "How Do You Fall in Love." --Marshall Fine
