Much better than other "no fog" mirrors that may not have the heated shower water run through the unit.
I've tried several of those and they just don't last long without special treatment.
Note: This product is available at such a deep discount because we obtained hundreds of them from the manufacturer who discontinued the product. They did so because the water shut off valve cannot be closed to completely shut off water flow to the shower, and drips by the shut off. So if you want to take a "Navy shower" where the shower flow is totally turned off then you will need to use a separate shut off. Otherwise, it works great!
Note that a small amount of water goes through diverter valve to behind the mirror even when the valve is in the off position. When in the on position, most of the water goes to the mirror, but some goes to the shower head. The shut off valve cuts about 90% of the flow.
