Love at it's Finest December 14, 2008 Dawn Chambray (Michigan, United States) I was not aware this book was part of a series until the end. This book really holds its own. The characters are a part of this book and do not give off the hint that you missed the first two books of the series. A neglected woman Felicia's only request is that her husband give her his time. Tyson's priorities are different. He wants money, power and success at all costs. Due to the tragic death of the Braddock patriarch Congressman Braddock the whole family is in turmoil. Felicia had left her husband due to neglect prior to the death of his father but the tragedy caused a one night reconciliation that produced a pregnancy. It took almost losing his child and wife for good in order for Tyson to realize it was time to realign his priorities. He finally got them together and his wife is the happiest woman on earth. A romantic story about love and marriage with a few mystery and dramatic scenes that lead up to the next installment. This book is a must read for the romantic.
It Wasn't Quite What I Expected November 2, 2008 D. Lee (Garland, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am normally a fan of A.C. Arthur's books and think characters are fabulous, but this one missed just a little bit for me. It was good, but I agree it started out slow. I think Felicia was manipulative, needy and lacked true understanding. I understand she was pregnant, but she got on my nerves. That little stunt she pulled was a bit over the top and she truly was overly dramatic through-out the whole story. It just missed the mark for me and I was disappointed.

SECOND CHANCE, BABY is a heartfelt novel that explores the joys, heartaches, and responsibilities of love. A.C. Arthur adds her personal flair to the Braddrock's: Secret Son continuity. br / br /Tyson Braddrock was the middle child to Congressman Harmon Braddrock and always felt he needed to prove himself to his father, siblings, as well as his wife. When he allows work to overpower his marriage Felicia Braddrock, his college sweetheart does the only thing she knew she left him. br / br /Felicia Braddrock knew that her husband loved her however; he was never around to show in love so with the sheer will power she did the only things she knew she left him. When Felicia finds herself pregnant, she is at war for a way to fix the situation with Ty. br / br /A.C. Arthur shows how a family stands unity in the best and worst times. SECOND CHANCE, BABY was a heartfelt read with just the right touch that only AC Arthur can present.
"Off The Chain Love" September 30, 2008 Guavaberry (St. Thomas Virgin Islands) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This story was great. It started out a little slow and I questioned it at first, but after I got into it, it proved to be a very good read. I read it in one day. The chemistry between the characters felt so real and the family bond was awesome. How everyone came together to support Ty in saving his marriage with Felicia shows true family love and bonding. I loved the book and I recommend it to everyone. I can't wait to read the next segment of the Braddocks which will be by Brenda Jackson entitled, "The Object of His Protection". It promises to be a great read. Get this book, it will be worth it.
Finding Love Again September 30, 2008 Reader Woman (New York) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a wonderful novel about the power of love and what it means to really work at rebuilding a relationship when the romance has soured. Felicia and Ty had to find their way back to one another after years of putting their marriage on hold. Felicia had to make some tough decisions and learn to put her wants and needs first. Ty had to figure out what was really important in life. Together they had to fight for the love they once knew. br / br /I liked that this novel focused on a married couple and gave us a glimpse at love AFTER the happily-ever-after. A. C. Arthur does a wonderful job and bringing tenderness and passion to Ty and Felicia's story. The love scenes where steamy and very emotional. A. C. Arthur certainly gives us something we can feel with this installment to the Braddock Family Series. I enjoyed this novel and can't wait to see how the series wraps up. Wonderful job, Ms. Arthur! Kudos!
