| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Golf at Yale: The Players, The Teams, The Course tells the story of 114 years of Yale golf. Yale was one of the very first universities to popularize this new sport in the 1890s, and its present course is ranked the #1 university course in the nation by Golf Digest. The book describes Yale's little-known two earliest golf courses, and it narrates the design and construction of the present magnificent course in the 1920s. It contains drawings, photographs, and commentaries of each hole, considered from the prospective of Charles Banks in 1925 and as it is today.
The authors:
John A. Godley (Yale Medical School '62) is a retired physician and member of the Yale Golf Course for over 50 years.
William W. Kelly has been a professor of anthropology at Yale for 31 years and a golfer for longer than that.
